Wednesday Vignette: Thinking Cool Thoughts
In light of the high temperatures forecast for the next three or four days, I though I'd share a cooling image as my Wednesday Vignette this week, hosted by Anna at Flutter&Hum. This is Rainy Lake, where my parents and I stopped for a quick walk on our way along the North Cascades Highway to stay near Mazama, WA. I have a few hundred pictures from that trip and the hikes we went on that I've yet to sort through. I'll get around to posting photos at some point. In the meantime, here's refreshingly clear and cool Rainy Lake.
Gotta love those clear mountain lakes. Can you spot the fish in the center of this photo?

Ah, I want to kick my shoes off and run out into the lake! So refreshing... wonderful photos on this hot day. Thanks, Evan!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Anna! I'm making this my happy place for the next few days as I cower inside, away from the heat.
DeleteCool in every meaning of the word! Gorgeous scenery. I look forward to seeing more photos from your trip.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kris! Got another post up today!
DeleteOh, the lake looks divine. I expect its way too cold for swimming (for me anyway), but would keep a 6-pack nice and chilled. I have the admit: I can't spot the fish in the picture... excellent camouflage.
ReplyDeleteIt's probably still rather chilly, though it certainly looks inviting today.
DeleteKeep these life-savingly cool shots coming...and thanks!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! A few more in today's post!
