It's funny how different our garden ends up looking, barely resembling our original plant and definitely not looking as neatly as it once did on paper. Not that I ever designed on paper; it was only images in my head, and the outcome is usually vastly different. I too feel nostalgic looking back. I changed as did the garden: you can say we grow (old) together.chavlinesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10907844942343152129noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3725795560485860373.post-82282678923622518692016-01-05T20:34:43.990-08:002016-01-05T20:34:43.990-08:00Plants have the same trouble as deer. Actually, that might help me figure out what trees I want to plant and how many I can cram in.Evan Beanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06732413653862912387noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3725795560485860373.post-61318042232889424182016-01-04T22:04:36.182-08:002016-01-04T22:04:36.182-08:00I love "what was I thinking" posts...we ...I love "what was I thinking" posts...we learn so much as time goes by don't we? I look back at some of my early blog posts (coming up on 7 years now) and cringe at some of my plant choices. Anyway, looking forward to the next installment, in the meantime I'll be chuckling at your "naive impression that plants only grew to the size listed on their labels or in books"...danger gardenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09227500551609537140noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3725795560485860373.post-35109829386842492042016-01-04T20:51:24.622-08:002016-01-04T20:51:24.622-08:00As I looked at your plans, I kept thinking that I ...As I looked at your plans, I kept thinking that I should really get back into the mode of drawing those up myself, at least for my larger planting projects. I did that early on here (although mine weren't nearly as precise as to scale) but I've fallen off the wagon since. It's a useful exercise even for the amateur gardener/landscaper.Kris Petersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07097260283693156795noreply@blogger.com
